100% sheets help pupils to consolidate and remember key knowledge needed for each of their subjects. They are called 100% sheets because they contain all of the essential knowledge pupils need to learn to succeed each term, both in lessons and Key Assessments Points (KAPs). They are also called 100% sheets because pupils should be using them 100% of the time to support their learning.
The 100% Sheets booklet is an essential part of school equipment. Pupils will need to have it in every lesson, every day. These booklets also contain guidance on how your child should set out their work and a clear timetable of the homework set for each week.
From Monday 7th September homework will be set using the 100% Sheets, with the expectation that students complete one hour of homework each evening which will be split into two subjects, 30 minutes each, allowing for a balanced and manageable workload. This will:
- Reinforce key knowledge taught in lessons
- Develop independent study habits
- Prepare students for assessments and long-term retention of learning
Students will complete all of these tasks in their Homework exercise book and we recommend the Look, Cover, Write, Check method for self-quizzing, as it is proven to be highly effective for memory recall.
Each Monday their homework exercise book will be checked to ensure all tasks are completed. Your child’s teacher will also be using the 100% sheet each week within the classroom to revisit previous learning, as they introduce new concepts, ideas and vocabulary. They will also be setting low stake quizzing and retrieval tasks which will check the student’s understanding of the homework set.
