Transition
Primary schools will be visited in the Summer term by a member of staff, including the Year Team and tutors. Support will also be provided by the Attendance Team.
If your child is currently in receipt of Free School Meals at Primary school, then you do not need to re-apply. Their application will transfer so you do not need to do anything.
We also offer our pupils water bottle filling stations which can be found around the Academy. If you wish to top up your child’s dinner money on their ParentPay account, you are also able to do so. Please remember, the Free School Meal allowance will not show on your child’s ParentPay account as a credit, but it will adjust our tills accordingly.
If you need to apply for Free School Meals, you can do so by clicking here.

Q: I have received my offer of a place at UAH, what happens next?
A: You will receive a ‘welcome’ letter from us, which will detail all of the important next steps and useful information you need to know.
Q: How can I keep up to date with my child’s school life when they start at the Academy?
A: We advise all parents and carers to sign up to our EduLink One App, which provides important information about your child, including attendance, homework, behaviour points and achievement points. This is also where letters and important messages are sent home.
Q: What stationery will my child need whilst at the Academy?
A: Pupils are expected to provide their own equipment; pens, pencils, ruler, erasers, highlighters, compass, protractor and a scientific calculator. A full list of essential items will be provided to you prior to your child’s start date at the Academy.
Q: Are pupils able to have breakfast at school?
A: Our Breakfast Club opens to all pupils at 8:00am until 8:30am, offering a selection of hot and cold options.
If you have a question or query, please do not hesitate to contact us and a member of the team will get back to you as soon as possible.
Please direct your queries to enquiries@uah.org.uk with the subject header as ‘Transition’.
