UK Heating and Plumbing - Learner Of The Year Award

Third Year Apprentice Kieran Rudd successfully competed in the HIP Nationwide plumbing competition, demonstrating his exceptional plumbing skills, competing against 10 other plumbing apprentices from colleges across the Eastern Region. Not only does this boost the apprentice's confidence, Kieran won a large selection of plumbing tools for his self.

University Academy Holbeach Presentation Evening 2023 took place on Tuesday 19 December. We proudly presented certificates and special prizes to our pupils and this was another fantastic opportunity to celebrate their success in a truly vast array of areas. Our guest speaker – Jade Etherington , shared words of wisdom with our pupils, parents and staff alike – we would like to thank Jade for attending this event and hope to see her again in the future.

Today, our Electrical and Plumbing students visited the Grand Designs Show in Birmingham where they experienced innovative technology within the Building Services and Construction industry. Having covered some aspects of modular buildings and how the Building Services industry can affect the UK economy in the classroom it was good to see some real-life examples and talk to industry experts. 

The students took advantage of the green living zone to experience some of the innovative ways the UK and beyond are trying to achieve a high level of sustainability and experienced the live construction of the 'House of Grand Ideas'.
