Christmas Lunch on the 13th December 2023
The Electrical department at UAH are proud to announce we have achieved the status of ECA Education Associate.
ECA is the UK’s leading trade association that represents and supports the interests of businesses and organisations involved in electrotechnical and engineering services design, installation, inspection, testing, maintenance and monitoring across the United Kingdom.
It is hoped this association will provide mutually beneficial opportunities for us to engage
with ECA on all aspects of the electrotechnical industry and help, teachers, assessors and students to be aware of the latest industry developments, best practice and standards.
Today, our Electrical and Plumbing students visited the Grand Designs Show in Birmingham where they experienced innovative technology within the Building Services and Construction industry. Having covered some aspects of modular buildings and how the Building Services industry can affect the UK economy in the classroom it was good to see some real-life examples and talk to industry experts.
The students took advantage of the green living zone to experience some of the innovative ways the UK and beyond are trying to achieve a high level of sustainability and experienced the live construction of the 'House of Grand Ideas'.
We have welcomed our new Year 12 students on 11th September.
Saturday school returns!
A big thank you to @mbhplc who as part of their pledge 100 initiative, donated 7500 bricks to our students at UAH.
Our level 1, level 2 and apprentice learners are looking forward to working with them and we can't wait to see their completed models!
We ask that pupils arrive on time for the sessions and sign in and out of school each time they attend. There will be a short break during each session and lunch will be provided for pupils.
By keeping this leaflet you will have a record of the timetable.
Where there is more than one subject during a session, that your child studies, they will be guided about which subject(s) to attend.
Please complete the attached pro-forma and return this to Miss Paige, (via Pupil Reception) by Monday February 27th
As you are aware, the school has been successfully running revision classes on Saturday mornings to assist pupils in their preparation for examinations. I am pleased to inform you that over 85% of the current Year 11 have attended at least one of these sessions during the Autumn Term.
Pupils have found these classes to be very useful and an excellent source of support throughout the year. The value of such additional support cannot be underestimated and we hope that your child will take the opportunity to benefit from all the classes.
Attached is a list of the classes that will be available for your child to attend until the
Easter Holidays 2023. The classes are aimed at Year 11 pupils and run from 9am-12pm with refreshments provided in the school canteen.
Your child’s teachers will be available for all of the classes unless otherwise stated.
