Information for university and college admissions

During lockdown our 6^th form students all spent the initial two weeks working from our Virtual Learning Environment, where staff had set revision work and research tasks. After those two weeks pupils were taught using MST for live streamed lessons for 50% of their timetable. For the other 50% of the time pupils were again working from the VLE, where staff had posted lessons and tasks for them to complete, including homework tasks based around independent extended writing. Staff were in communication to give electronic feedback to students on all completed tasks. Students also had access to independent learning platforms like SENECA. All students were offered a morning of face to face contact per subject in July, and were provided with one face to face tutorial on UCAS and the applications process. Our L3 vocational students continued with coursework assignments and adhered to all pre-set deadlines. A level students had their normal mock exams at the end of year 12 cancelled, however they have all been tested at the start of October to enable staff to identify gaps in the learning and give us further evidence to support our predicted grades.
