If you are worried about something that is happening to you online, you can report it here or get more information.
The Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre - or CEOP for short - is staffed by specialist police officers, social workers, counselors and investigators. Your report will go to straight to them.
Everyone is at risk of online fraud or unwanted contact once they have email and social networking accounts. To help young people protect themselves a new government initiative has put together a handy reminder of how to keep yourself safe online.
If people make offensive postings, use the "Report" link, which is on the Facebook pages, to make a complaint. You can also email: email@example.com
Facebook pledges to investigate the complaint and to remove the content and warn or ban the offender from the site within 24 hours. If you email Facebook you should get a reply within 72 hours telling you what they have done about the problem.
Privacy settings must be set correctly so that you only share information with those you want. Check the Facebook website for a guide to protecting your privacy when using the site.
