T-Level Health Science Level 3 (Supporting Adult Nursing)

Who is this course for?
This T Level is suitable for anyone wanting a career in health and healthcare. The T Level is a 2 year programme and will include a 9 week (minimum) industry placement and a Technical Qualification.

What will you learn?

You will develop a general understanding of health and science, including: Working within the health and science sector Health, safety and environmental regulations Managing information and data Principles of good scientific and clinical practice Core science concepts including the structure of cells, tissues and large molecules, genetics, microbiology and immunology You will also develop the knowledge and skills specific to health, such as: Understanding the healthcare sector Providing person-centred care Supporting health and wellbeing Further knowledge of both human anatomy and physiology and of diseases and disorders Infection prevention and control In addition to the core content, each student will also complete at least one module of occupation-specific content: Supporting the adult nursing team.

How long is this course?

All of our Level 3 T-Level courses are two year courses.

How will I be assessed for this course?

Your learning will combine classroom theory and practical learning and include 9 weeks (minimum) of industry placement. The placement will provide you with real experience of the workplace.
Your core knowledge and skills will be assessed through exams and an employer-set project. You'll work with your tutor to decide when you're ready to be assessed on the core. Assessment of occupational specialist knowledge and skills will vary depending on the occupation. It may involve tests, practical assignments and projects. Your occupational specialist knowledge and skills will be assessed in the second year

What are the entry requirements for this course?

It is desired that students have gained, or working towards, 5 GCSE's grades 4-9 including Maths and English.

Students must be aged 16-19 to study this course.

What can I go on to do after this course?

You'll have the industry knowledge and experience to progress into roles like: Midwifery, Nursing, Nurse Associate, Ambulance support. You can also use this T Level to progress to a related higher-level apprenticeship or course of study at a higher level, including a university degree.
