Jack Elms in year 13 entered a competition run by Apple to create an educational app. He was one of the winners and is now going to Silicon Valley to attend a conference run by Apple with all expenses paid. This is a huge achievement.

University Academy Holbeach has been awarded Approved Centre status by the Chartered Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineering (CIPHE).
Founded in 1906, the Chartered Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineering (CIPHE) is the professional body for the UK plumbing and heating industry.
Membership is made up of individuals from a wide range of backgrounds such as consultants, specifiers, designers, public health engineers, lecturers, trainers, trainees and practitioners.
The CIPHE has a membership of around 7,200 including approximately 170 manufacturers and distributors, which support its work as Industrial Associates. Whilst the majority of members live in the UK, some 800 are resident in Hong Kong and a further 300 are resident in over 30 other countries.
Geoff Westall, National President of CIPHE, spoke of the importance of individuals standing out to achieve recognition and becoming members of CIPHE and working to industrial standards, allowing individuals to progress and establish their importance to the plumbing and heating sectors.

On Thursday our year 7 lads went to the County Finals Futsal Tournament at Grantham Meres Leisure Centre. They had already progressed through the first rounds playing all the local schools in our area.
There were 7 teams competing for the trophy to be the best in Lincolnshire:
The tournament was played in a round robin format/league style. The lads went on and WON ALL their games (results above) and therefore became county champions and therefore we now go through to the next round Regional Competition.

Lewis Harker competed in a Nationwide plumbing competition on the 13th February 2018 demonstrating his exceptional plumbing skills, competing against 7 other plumbing apprentices from colleges over the Eastern Region. winning the 6th Form plumbing department plumbing products to be used in the workshop.
He is a 2nd Year level 2 Plumbing Apprentice working for Favell Heating. Lewis was selected for the competition by the UAH plumbing department due to his ongoing commitment and enthusiasm for the subject, where he has gained and progressed many plumbing skills to a high standard
Well done to tutor groups 7I (98.2%), 9D (97%), 10G (98%), 11D (98%) and 11C (98%) for their attendance last week.
Congratulations to our Year 11 pupils who have attended the Saturday School sessions this term.
The final one this term is Saturday December 16th for ICT, Childcare and Electrical.
